![]() Today's NCAA Basketball Picks: It took awhile for Georgia St. to come together as a team, but they were tough down the stretch. They opened the season at 5-16 and could have packed it in, but to their credit, hung in there and began to gel late. Georgia St. replaced their 5-16 start with a 6-3 finish and have a lot of confidence and momentum to latch onto for this one and are a very live dog here. Much bigger things were expected out of this Blue Hen squad, but they could never get it going. They never won more than one in a row during conference play all season, a testament to their frustrations. They have only one win away from home in their last nine and this team could be in trouble in this one. I'm going with Georgia St.Game: Wofford vs. Elon (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Elon +6 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6) Chatanooga,Tenn. is the site of the Southern Conference Championship games. Neither of these teams figure to be around for the championship game and although Wofford closed strong, they needed OT to put this pesky Elon team away at home during the regular season. Elon did their best work on the road where they were 6-4 ATS in conference in their last ten. They have hung around vs some good teams on the road, beating Charleston in the process. Wofford has only been able to put away conference doormat NC Greensboro on the road this season and this one will be close at the finish. I'll go with Elon and the points here.Game: Samford vs. Furman (9:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Furman +8.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) Samford certainly did not close the season the way they had hoped as they finished the regular season by dropping six of their last nine games. They did manage to best Furman by 11, but that was way back in early January and Samford has lost some of its confidence down the stretch and that one was at home. Since then Furman had the rematch at home and took down Samford by six. The Paladins despite losing with great frequency, were a cash cow down the stretch for their backers as they concluded the season at 9-3 ATS. Samford will be fighting another negative trend that has seen them go 0-4 ATS in their last four neutral site games. The distance between these teams has closed, and I'll take Furman and the points. ![]() NCAA Basketball Picks Resources:
