Today's NCAA Basketball Picks:

Game: Notre Dame at Villonova (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Villonova -10.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

The Kentucky loss to South Carolina and the Texas loss to Uconn poises the Wildcats to proclaim the #1 spot, and rightfully so. The Wildcats are 18-1 on the season and perfect at home, winning their home games by an average of 20.8ppg. The Irish have always been a good home team, but were exposed by a good Syracuse team on their homecourt by 13, lost to Uconn on the road by 12 and to Northwestern on a neutral court by 14. They also had a home loss to Loyola Marymount. The only signature win this year was on their homecourt vs West Virginia. This team has been dependent on two things, Harongody and Abromitis hitting 3's. The Cats will do as Uconn did, take Abromitis out of the game.  Nova is too talented to be beaten by one player. I'll go with Villonova here.

Not sure how the Mustangs manage the chalk in this one. They have recorded eight wins on the season against Houston Baptist, Rice, NC Central, Army, Occidental, Texas St., Houston Tillitston and Florida Gulf Coast. I don't see even a marginally decent opponent on the list. The Golden Knights have won at Houston, played Uconn on the road to single digits and certainly appear to be a live dog here, especially with their 27-13-1 ATS mark after an ATS loss. The wrong team is favored here, I'm going with Central Florida in this one.
