Today's NCAA Basketball Picks:

Game: Rider vs. St. Peters (4:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on St. Peters +180 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 5.4)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 127 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Yes, Rider is 10-8 while St. Peters is just 5-14, but I like St. Peters chances in this one enough to back them for a straight-up win. Rider is just 4-7 on the road. And their defense is playing very poorly right now. St. Peters gives up just 62.7 per game, and it gets even better in road games (61.5)! Compare that to the 73 that Rider allows (75.4 over their last five games). The problem for St. Peters is of course offense but Rider hasn't been able to keep anyone down all year. Rider has underperformed all season as a favorite, going 1-4 ATS. St. Peters on the other hand has overperformed all season. Despite their bad ATS record, they are continually undervalued as they have only lost one game ATS all season and that was back in the middle of December! St. Peters is off a very poor shoooting night and I expect them to bring a top effort here in a winnable game. I really think Rider will struggle to score here and so I like the UNDER as well. Rider is 4-3 UNDER on the road this season and St. Peters is 4-1 UNDER on the road. Undder head coach John Dunne, St. Peters is 29-17 UNDER in conference games. They are also 10-1 UNDER in their last eleven road games following a game in which they allowed 60 or fewer points.
