Martelli releshes the underdog role and here we get him and St. Joes as a home dog. He's 52-39 ATS as an underdog. His teams are also 23-13 ATS vs. good defensive teams like Xavier. Xavier has been impresssive at home but much less so on the road. While posting a 10-1 SU mark at home (and 7-1 ATS), they are 3-4 SU and 2-5 ATS on the road! They score over 8 ppg less and give up about 6 more per game. St. Joe's is 5-1 SU and 2-1 ATS at home where they have allowed 52.8 ppg. They are 3-0 ATS this year when getting points so we'll back 'em here getting 1.5 at home.

Virginia has certainly been able to hold their own on the offensive end of the court but the Cavs are also suspect on the defensive end and this should be a spot where Wake Forest can get some points. They have struggled vs. teams that play tough on the defensive end but have done well vs. the teams that put more energy on the offensive end. Virginia has had a history of scoring over the years but when they do so with big numbers the ATS results have been horrible. They are 16-30 ATS after scoring 75+ in two straight games, 14-31 ATS after scoring 85, and 8-23 ATS after scoring 90+ points. Look for Wake Forest to make a game out of this and the double digit spread is within their grasp.

Two teams heading in opposite directions meet in this one. Toledo has spent the bulk of its schedule on the road but has been 4-1 at home. They have now won and covered four straight games. N. Illinois has lost 12 of 13. The only thing Northern Illinois has done well all season is shoot as they hit over 47% on the road. Toledo shoots over 50% at home but does not defend very well giving up 47% themselves. We look for a game played in the 70s in this one so we will be backing the OVER.
