Virginia Tech has already beaten Duke on the road and is coming off a high energy emotional win vs North Carolina. Time to crash. Florida St. has done some work at home as well in the ACC. They have knocked off Duke, MD, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and lost to NC by 1 at home. This year they almost handed Clemson their first loss, losing by just 2. They already have a win vs. Florida at home and this is the perfect spot for a good home team, facing a team coming off one of their biggest wins in program history.

The MVC as a rule is a home team league, but Evansville has not fit in that equation, and either has S. Illinois on the road. S. Illinois is 7-3 ATS as a road favorite last two years. Evansville carried just a 3-6 home mark in the league last year, and has already dropped a game to Creighton at home by 13 this year. S. Illinois is playing great defense right now, and that has been money for their backers. They have been 20-6 ATS after allowing 65 or less in two consecutive games, and a perfect 6-0 this year when they allow 65 or less in three straight.

Richmond at one time was 3-0. Then they had to play some decent teams and have gone 2-11 since. They don't defend they are not deep and they have just one double digit scorer. But the biggest problem they have is rebounding. They were out-rebounded by Charlotte by 22! They have been -6 in that department in their last 10 games. Richmond has managed a poor 14-27 ATS vs teams with a winning record over the last several years.

Alabama will bring a 14-2 mark to Vanderbilt tonight. The Tide has lost just to Arkansas and ND and will be hungry to add to their win column against a good Vandy team. Alabama is very difficult to defend, as they score from everywhere, and have five double digit scorers, and they all shoot very well. This spells trouble for a Vandy team that has really struggled against good shooting teams. They are just 1-14 ATS vs teams that shoot 48%+ after we cross the midway mark of the season under Stallings. Tide rolls.

Auburn won just three conference games last year. Signs of things changing are competitive games on the road such as a two point loss at nationally ranked LSU and a neutral court heart-breaker to Oklahoma St. by one. Now they get a shot at a good team at home coming in off two straight losses. Tennessee has struggled on the road all year as they shoot just 41.6% and give up 48.6%. Their free throw shooting has been a horrible 56% on the road. Auburn shoots very well at home hitting 47%. A few missed free throws, and another average to poor shooting night by the Vols, and they are looking at three straight losses. We will take the points here.
