Today's NCAA Basketball Picks:

Game: Manhattan at Niagara (2:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 149.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Niagara can score but Manhattan's defense is pretty good. Niagara chucks up 24 three-pointers per game, making 8 per game, which is where much of their scoring comes from. But, Manhattan is 10-1 UNDER int heir last eleven road games vs. teams that make 8+ three pointers per game. Niagara should score in the 70s here and we don't see Manhattan getting out of the 60s so we'll take the UNDER.

Game: Syracuse at W Virginia (2:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 5 units on W Virginia (-500) (risk 5 to win 1)

Syracuse had their six game winning streak halted last game in Cincinnati where they lost by 8 points in a game their were supposed to win. Now they must head to Morgantown to face a W. Virginia team that needs to win. The Mountaineers started off the season 10-1 and expectations were high. But, they have lost three of four games. This is a game they can, and should win. And they will be focused at the task at hand to avoid losing their fourth in five games. They are 7-1 at home outscoring opponents 88 to 59. Meanwhile, the Orange, despite a very good overall record, are just 2-2 on the road, giving up 76.5 ppg. The Mountaineers are 30-4 the past three seasons as a favorite.

Game: Fairfield at Marist (4:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on Marist -7.5 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6)

The Red Foxes haven't lost at home this season, and have dominated, taking out six of their last seven visitors by double-digits. The Red Foxes are shooting 52.6% at home while allowing 38.9%. Those are numbers you expect to find of a team in the top 10. The Stags are shooting just 40% and allowing 46%, and we can't see them hanging around in this one. Marist is 7-3 ATS last ten at home while the Stags are struggling against teams with winning record, getting the money in just once in their last five. Maris is 9-2 ATS coming off a double-digit home win the past two seasons and we like them to win and cover here.

Game: Alabama at Arkansas (4:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Alabama +9 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 150 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Alabama has proven worthy of this big spread, with a 7 point loss at Florida, 10 point set-back at Georgetown, and 13 point loss at A&M. Those are all better teams than the Razorbacks. The Tide is shooting well enough at 47.8% from field, and 38% from 3 to hang tough here. The Tide has taken care of the ball very well, with just 12.4 turnovers per game and an excellent assist-to-turnover ratio. The top three ballhandlers dishing out 157 assists with just 71 turnovers, better than 2 to 1 ratio. Four of the top five scorers are connecting on over 40% from three and that will make them a tough out here. Arkansas has had some meltdown games, with difficult to understand loss at home to Appalachian State, neutral court burial to Providence by 16, and a double-digit loss to Oklahoma. Decent teams like Auburn, Missouri and Baylor have stuck close. The numbers look good, but the answer is found in 17.5 turnovers commited a game, and negative assist to turnover margin as a team which costs them possessions and points. We like the Tide to battle them to the wire.

Game: Stanford at Oregon (4:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 5 units on Oregon -1.5 (-110) (risk 5 to win 4.6)

The Ducks are no joke at home where in the tough Pac-10 they face four to five very good teams a year at home. Here they have logged a 24-2 SU mark in their last 26 on the home-hardwood. They are one of the top shooting teams in the country at over 50%. The Cardinals have played well, but will get the stiffest road test to-date this season. Last season they failed miserably on the road going 3-6 SU and they are just 11-17 their last 28. The Cards biggest problem is vs the good teams, as they are 1-5 ATS last six vs teams that are .600+ at home. The Ducks are a cover machine in Pac-10, going 8-1 ATS last nine and overall are now 11-3-1 ATS last 15 home games. Oregon knocks off Stanford.

Game: Arkansas Little Rock at Denver (6:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 115.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Denver is a team that doesn't score a lot of points but at home their offense is not awful (64 ppg). Arkansas Little Rock is scoring 74 ppg in conference games while allowing 70.5. Games with a total under 130 featuring a road team coming off a double-digit conference win facing a home team that has lost two straight to conference foes by double-digits have gone OVER 83% of the time the past five seasons. Little Rock is 6-0 themselves OVER on the road off a win over a conference rival the past three seasons. And, under head coach Joe Scott, Denver is 12-1 OVER coming off two straight losses to conference rivals.

Results: 5-2
