Today's NCAA Basketball Picks:

Game: Iowa at Michigan (11:30 AM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 121 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Two excellent defenses clash in this one and as a result, we see a low total. But the Wolverines can score and they will in this one. Michigan averages 76.2 points per game at home. They give up nearly 68 per game in conference play. And, Iowa's awesome defense is measurably worse on the road compared to home. The last three seasons, the Hawkeyes are 8-1 OVER on the road when facing a great defense (teams that hold opponents under 43% shooting. Over that same span they are 11-2 OVER when coming off a game in which they scored 60 or less. I like this one to go OVER.

Another game with two very good defenses. But again, these teams can also score. The Badgers average 67 per game (71 in conference games) and the Boilermakers average 73 per game. That's a lot of offense here. These teams built their reputation early in the season on defense and low-scoring games. But, Wisconsin games have gone UNDER just once in the last six games. They are hitting 48% from the field over that stretch. Purdue has gone OVER in two straight games. This total is low and I'll take this game to go OVER.
