Today's NCAA Basketball Picks:

Game: N C Greensboro at Davidson (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on Davidson -13 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6)

Davidson is in a class unto itself in the Southern Conference. They are virtually unbeatable on their home-court, where they are 10-0 and winning all ten by double-digits. The average margin has been 28.1 ppg. Sometimes they play lackluster basketball against the weak conference teams, but not the good ones. They are 18-7 ATS vs. winning teams the past two seasons. Georgia Southern at 19-8 lost here by 25, and Chatanooga at 16-11, lost here by 27. Now Greensboro, one of the few winning teams they meet in conference play, comes in at 14-10. Davidson knows they can't afford a loss, just in case they lose their conference tourney, they need to continue to build their RPI, so they are in no matter what. Davidson is 10-2 ATS this season vs. teams that shoot 45%+ from the field and 8-0 ATS vs. opponents that outscore their opposition by 4+ ppg. They are also 27-11 ATS in conference play the past two seasons. We don't see them taking this one off, and another 20 point win at home is in order.

Game: Depaul at Connecticut (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Depaul +12.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

We are not sure if their is a team in the country that has improved as much as UConn this season. They are really clicking, and have run off nine in a row. What may be most interesting about this, is they have only won just one of the last eight by double-digits. And, that was a non-conference game vs. Georgia Tech. The biggest margin in the other seven has been 7 points. DePaul doesn't come in with the big record, but they do come in with a team that stays in games. Their biggest loss on the road in Big East play has been 14, and they are currently 4-0 ATS as a double-digit dog. The Huskies are playing great, but seem to have a very slim margin for error, and this is just too many points.

Game: Bowling Green at Ohio U (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Ohio U -11 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Bowling Green is in a tailspin having lost four of their last five games. It hasn't been much better for Ohio but this game is at home and that will make the difference between a small win and a blowout. They are 9-0 at home, scoring 73 points per game and holding foes to just 62. Their defense has improved since conference play began as they are holding conference foes to just 57.7 per game. That spells major trouble for the Falcons who average a paltry 62.1 per game on the road and 60.7 to conference opponents. Over the past three seasons, Bowling Green is just 6-17 ATS vs. teams at 60%+ SU. The past two seasons they are 10-19 ATS in conference play. Ohio also has revenge going for them here and they are 10-2 ATS the past two seasons playing with revenge.

Game: Northwestern at Iowa (9:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 114.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

Both of these teams are UNDER teams. Northwestern averages just 55.4 ppg on the road while Iowa averages 57.9 per game at home while holding opponents to 54.1 per game. But, Northwestern's defense is bad. They give up 67.9 per game on the road but that has ballooned to 74.6 per game over their last five games. In twelve conference games, they are giving up 73.7 per game. Games with a total under 130 featuring a home team off three straight conference losses go OVER 60% of the time (188-125 over the past ten years). Northwestern is 8-1 OVER the past three seasons vs. slow-down teams like Iowa (those averaging under 54 shots per game). We like the OVER here.

Game: Georgia at Kentucky (9:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Kentucky -6 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

The once-termed "Mildcats" at 7-9 early-on, are playing like Wildcats again as the healthier this team becomes, the better they have played. They are 6-1 in their last seven, which has moved them to 7-3 in SEC play and has boosted their RPI up to 73rd, closing in on the bubble. The Bulldogs are going the other way, as after an 11-5 start, they have gone 1-6 in their last seven, and have just one SEC road game where they have hung within double-digits. Kentucky is clamping down at the defensive end, allowing just 39%, while stickin it at the offensive end at 47%, and hitting over 75% from the line. That's good for a #14 national rank as this team is missing no opportunities. The Dogs are hitting just 61.9% of their free throws on the SEC road, and in their last five road games overall have turned the ball over 86 times, or 17.2 per game. Their stagnant offense shows just 33 assists in four SEC road games, on 90 made hoops! Those 33 assists are to 66 turnovers, and that is a recipe for disaster, especially vs. a hot Kentucky team.

Results: 2-2
