Wofford has been one of the worst teams on the road in college basketball. This year they are just 2-12 and over the last four years are 10-49. They are 4-19 over their last 23 games with all four wins coming at home and 0-12 over their last 12 road games. So why in the world would we take Wofford here? Of their 10 wins four of them came at Citadel! The ironic part of this whole thing is that while the Citadel is another awful road team they have won their last four games at Wofford! Wofford came to Citadel last year with a 0-9 road record and won by 15 points. The previous season, they were 2-8 on the road and won by 10 points. The year before that they were 1-10 on the road with the only win coming in OT by 10 points. The year before that they were 2-6 on the road and won by 15 points! That is four consecutive double digit wins here. Coming into these games Citadel's record at home has been 4-3, 8-1, 4-9 and 5-2. Citadel is just 11-25-1 ATS at home. This year they are 5-6, with three wins against non-division 1A programs - an OT win by three points and the other by five. So over the last four years Wofford has come to Citadel with a combined total of five road wins and won all four games by double digits. The fact is that Citadel should not be favored against anyone. Citadel last won a game as a favorite over three years ago on February 3, 2003. The Citadel has failed twice this year and are 0-7-1 ATS as a favorite since that win three years ago. Citadel plays in front of about 1,200 fans at home games so there is little home-court advantage. We will grab the points.
