Free Ncaa Basketball Tournament Predictions - February 11, 2010We went 2-0 yesterday in college hoops, good for +6.4 units. This adds to our two month record of 142-118 for +52 units in profit. We look to continue the stride tonight with three premium picks.
![]() Today's NCAA Basketball Picks: Charleston has the program back on track as former Georgia Tech coach Bobby Cremins is recruiting superior athletes, and good enough to even beat North Carolina here. The Cougars are 10-1 at home on the season with seven of the wins coming by double-digits. Elon has just five wins on the season vs div-1 schools and is severely over matched here. This is a team that has failed to get out of the 50s on 11 occasions this season while Charleston can really score. The Cougars in their last seven at home have averaged 80.6ppg and the offensively challenged Phoenix are going to be hard pressed to keep up to stay in this one. I'll go with Charleston here.Game: U L Lafayette at Florida Atlantic (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on U L Lafayette +2 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) Florida Atlantic has been up and down all season, typical of a young team. They dropped five straight, then went on to win seven of eight, have now dropped two straight and appear to be losing their confidence once again. Ragin Cajuns have reversed a horrible start which saw them out of the gate at just 4-10, but have really come on of late winning seven of their last nine, including three straight. The offense, which topped the 70 point mark just four times vs d-1 opponents in the first 20 games, has surpassed that plateau in each of their last three. These teams are heading in opposite directions and I'll go with UL Lafayette as a live dog in this one.Game: Washington at California (9:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on California -4.5 (-110) (risk 2 to win 1.8) The Pac-10 may be as far down as it has ever been, but at the top stands the Cal Bears at 7-4, closely followed by tonight's opponent, the Washington Huskies. While the Huskies have been living large at home, they have yet to find any answers on the road where they are a dismal 0-5 on the season. Cal has held their own on the road and after four straight away, they return home where they have been 11-1 on the season. The Bears have dominated Pac-10 opponents at home with their four conference wins coming by a total of 70 points. They lost at Washington by 15, so will be amped up here while the Huskies have lost three of their four Pac-10 games on the road by 17+. I'm going with California in this one. Results: 1-2 ![]() NCAA Basketball Picks Resources:
