Ncaa Basketball Favorites - February 10, 2009

We passed on last night's CBB action and return to the hardwood today with one pick. We are in the midst of a month-long 60% college hoops run as we are 52-35 for +30.1 units.

Today's NCAA Basketball Picks:

Game: Kent State at Northern Illinois (8:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on Kent State -9 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6)

This may not be a vintage Kent State team, but they are definitely improving, as they have won three straight, and cashed their last four. That includes impressive road wins at Western Michigan and Ball State. The Huskies are sluggish, winning just two games since before Christmas and at the same time they are a clean 0-8 ATS as a dog since December 17. They can't avoid scoring droughts during the course of the game, as they have produced a meager 52.6 points per game in their last five. The shooting has been a nightmare and the rebounding equally bad. The Golden Flashes are playing their best basketball of the season should have no trouble in this one and get the call.
