Final Four Odd - February 09, 2010We got back on the winning track last night, finishing 2-1. Our college hoops picks are now 139-117 for +46 units over the last two months. Today we go with three premium picks.
 Today's NCAA Basketball Picks: I like these two teams to win their games outright. Wisconsin. The Badgers have won four of their last five games, losing only at Purdue, covering a large number in the process. The impressive part is that they have done it without the services of Jon Leuer who is out with a wrist injury. This team does it on defense as they have held ten opponents thus far under 50 points. They now get an Illinois team that is playing well, but a team that is just 4-7 on the road and 0-4 vs. teams at .600 or better. The Badgers in contrast are 13-0 at home. Wisconsin has won 90 of their last 102 games as a home favorite. Oklahoma hosts Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are 13-1 at home but just 2-6 on the road where they have been outscored by 11 points per game! Now they must face a Sooners squad that is 11-0 at home, winning by 14 points per game. Oklahoma is 11-1 at home since last season in home games vs. winning teams. Tech is 1-18 as a road underdog over the past three seasons. Take the Badgers and Sooners in a moneyline parlay.Game: Houston at Western Kentucky (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 150.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have had some top teams over the last decade, but this is not one of them. The Hilltoppers have dropped six of eight in the lowly Sun Belt Conference, and have been held in the 60s by some pretty defenseless teams. The Cougars, meanwhile have held some much better teams from C-USA in the 60s or less in five of their last seven and in their last two, the Cougars have not gotten out of the 50s. The Cougars have followed their last eight losses with seven UNDERs, and the Hilltoppers have now gone 9-1 to the UNDER in their last 10 at home as a small favorite of up to 6.5. These teams are struggling to find offense right now, and this one is pretty steep for the situation, so I'm going with the UNDER here.Game: Tennessee Tech at Austin Peay (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Tennessee Tech +10 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Golden Eagles from Tennessee Tech have steadily improved as the season has gone along. They have come from a 3-6 team that failed to cover the spread through their first nine games, to a team that has gone 9-6 straight-up in their last 15. They have been 9-4 ATS as well. The Governors had their four-game winning streak snapped their last time out in an emotional game vs. conference leader Murray State. They spent a lot of energy in that one, both physically and emotionally. They could be a bit flat heading into this one, and have only been 3-7 ATS in their last 10 as a home favorite anyway, including just 1-5 ATS in the range of 7-12.5. The Dog has grabbed the money in six of the last eight in this series, and the points are too high here, so I'm going with Tennessee Tech. Results: 1-1 NCAA Basketball Picks Resources:
