We rate each pick 1 to 5 units with 5 being the strongest play (read about units).
Risk 1% of your bankroll per unit (never risk more than 5% of total bankroll on any pick).
Game: Wisconsin at Georgia (1:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Georgia +1.5
Both teams are off to a good start but Wisconsin has really taken advantage of some "home cookin", as they have feasted on their strong home-court advantage. Life has been different for Wisconsin on the road however, as their lone loss came on a neutral court vs. Missouri St. and they squeaked out a 4 point win at Marquette. Last year the Badgers were just 2-8 on the road, and have now been just 2-9 ATS on the road in their last 11. Georgia has a solid veteran team, that knocked off Gonzaga easily earlier on 96-83, and have been giant killers the past couple of years as they have logged a 6-2 ATS mark vs .600+ teams at home. Look for Georgia to hand the Badgers their second loss of the year.
Game: Georgia State at Clemson (2:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Georgia State +30
Clemson is undefeated and ranked 21st. It's their second-best start ever (went 17-0 in 1986-87). But, should they be laying this many points? We think not. The numbers would dictate that this is about the right spread but we feel Clemson might take lowly Georgia State a bit too lightly and allow the weaker team to cover. All five of Clemson's ATS losses this year have come as a double-digit favorite. The four largest numbers they have laid were -16, -19, -22.5 and -26. They are 1-3 ATS in those three games. They have covered their last two games but with Purnell as coach, the Tigers are just 3-12 ATS following two straight ATS covers. Take the bushel of points here.
Game: Dayton at N Carolina (3:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Dayton +22
Another very large number that we'll look to exploit. North Carolina has really rolled having won eight in a row. But the Flyers haven't been doing so bad themselves having won eight of their last nine. They aren't in the same league (literally and figuratively) but they are playing great defense holding opponents to 59 ppg. They'll need that defense to keep a high-flying North Carolina squad down. NC is averaging 92 per game at home. Look for North Carolina to build an early lead and cruise to a victory but to allow Dayton to stay close enough to get the cover.
