Nba Basketball Picks - May 25, 2010
Orlando stayed alive in the East thanks to last night's performance against Boston. The overtime killing our full-game under sealed our fate as we missed all the picks. We move on tonight with three more premium selections from the Western Conference Finals as we are on a 95-73 run over the last two and a half months. During that span we are +33 units.

Today's NBA Basketball Picks:
Game: Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix (9:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Phoenix +1.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 221 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)
The Phoenix Suns went down 0-2 in this series and in a pivotal game three at home, they got a huge win. That isn't surprising as the Suns have been a cash cow at home all season long, and the playoffs are no exception as that was their fifth straight win and cover on home hardwood. The Lakers find themselves in a battle now, and this has not been a comfortable spot for them either. The Lakers are a dreadful 2-13 ATS in their last 15 as a favorite of 4.5 or less, suffering nine outright losses! What has been even more predictable is in that same situation as a favorite of 4.5 or less, they are 11-0 to the UNDER in the last 11. The Suns are cashing to a 37-18-1 ATS mark in their last 56 at home, making them a very live dog here. This total was set at 210.5 for game one and has soared over 10 points from what was deemed a fair price, anticipating the public surge of over players. The Suns have played to a 7-2 mark to the UNDER in their last nine as a home dog. I'll go with Phoenix and the UNDER here.
Game: Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix (9:05 PM Eastern)Pick: 3 units on First Half UNDER 110.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)
This series has played to higher-scoring games than expected, and the fair price in game one was set at 210.5, which has climbed over 10 points now, so the value turns to the UNDER. The Lakers sport 11 straight UNDERs as a favorite of 4.5 or less. The conference finals have been highly predictable in favor of first half totals staying UNDER the number. The last 306 in this round have seen the UNDER cash to a mark of 190-116 or over 62% of the time. The Lakers are 45-24 UNDER in the first-half the past three seasons after a game in which both teams scored 105+ points. Phoenix is 20-9 UNDER this season in the first-half as an underdog. They are also 26-16 UNDER int he first-half this season after back-to-back OVERs and 16-5 UNDER after a game in which 225+ points were scored. I like this one to go UNDER in the first half.
Results: 1-1
