Game: Miami at New Jersey (8:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 stars on New Jersey -2.5
Will the real New Jersey Nets please stand up? Will the real Miami Heat please stand up? We were on Miami in both of the first two games. In game one, it was a bad pick. In game two, a great one. It seems that these teams only respond when their backs are to the wall. Remember how the Nets had lost game one in a shocker to the Pacers in round one? That motivated the Nets and they came storming back in game two and ended up winning the series in six games. The sour taste from a loss, combined with excellent coaching adjustments allows the Nets (and other teams) off a blowout loss to come back strong. Throw in the fact that the public loves to jump on the latest bandwagon team that just notched a blowout victory and you find lots of value. This is exactly why we backed the Heat in game two of this series. We've seen the same thing in the other three series as well. The Cavaliers came back strong to cover the double-digit spread against the Pistons after having been blown out of the building in the first game. The Clippers played great basketball to show up and win a key game two in Phoenix when they were on the verge of falling down 2-0. And, Dallas crushed the Spurs to even their series in game two. Now, we see the New Jersey Nets with an itch to get back on the court after the embarassing loss they took in game two in Miami. I beleive the Nets bounce back after the loss in Miami and to play well in front of their home crowd. Keep in mind that the Heat lost the first two games on the road to the Bulls last series. Icing on the cake? Miami is 15-26 ATS vs. winning teams this season while the Nets are 16-4 ATS vs. good teams (60%-70% SU) the past two seasons. Nets here.

| How
much to bet? I recommend 1% of your bankroll for every
star. A one-star pick = 1% of bankroll. A five-star pick
= 5% of bankroll. It is strongly recommended that
you never bet more than 5% of your bankroll on any given
game! Remember, there are no such thing as locks.
Never bet over your head and you'll live to see another
day. Approach your bets as an investment that grows steadily
over the long-term. For more, see
