![]() Today's NBA Basketball Picks: The New Jersey Nets will finish this year as either the worst team in NBA history, or one of the worst. They have just eight wins, and as the season winds down they need two more to reach 10, avoiding the mark set of just nine wins by Philadelphia. What has gone unnoticed is the fact that this team has improved considerably, and where it is showing up is getting the money. The Nets seem to stay in games only to lose, but getting 7 or more points they are 14-5 ATS in their last 19. The Suns have won eight straight, but looking at three bad teams they have played in their last four games, the Bulls, T-Wolves and Golden State, none of the margins have been greater than 6 points. The Nets have been hanging around, and likely will do so again. New Jersey gets the call.Game: Sacramento at Minnesota (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Sacramento +2.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Sacramento Kings have not done much on the road this season as they come into this one with just seven road wins on the season. That doesn't mean they have not been kind to backers however, as the Kings have become cash cows on the road. The Kings as a road dog, are now 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight. Minnesota is a bad team that has completely melted down and quit. The T-Wolves have lost 16 straight games, owning just one win in their last 23 games. This is also a comfortable venue for the Kings facing the T-Wolves - a team they are 6-1 ATS against in the last seven meetings. I'll go with Sacramento here.Game: New York Knicks at Portland (10:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on New York Knicks +10 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The New York Knicks have not produced a good team in many years, and this year is no exception. What they have produced is a team that stays in games when least expected as they seem to raise their level of play vs. the better teams. The Knicks are 8-3 ATS this season as a 10+ point dog, running their mark to 34-14 ATS in this situation over the last 4+ years. The Blazers aren't facing many 10+ chalky lines, but since mid-November they are just 1-4 ATS when favored by 10 or more. The Knicks have taken the money in four of the last five vs. the Blazers. One more time tonight, the Knicks get the call here. ![]() NBA Basketball Picks Resources:
