Today's NBA Basketball Picks:

Game: Milwaukee at Toronto (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on Milwaukee +4 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6)

I find it impossible to back a team as a favorite that has underachieved for two seasons, has gone 2-9 in their last 11 games and apparently has thrown in the towel on another less than inspiring season. They are also a dismal 6-18 ATS in their last 24 games, so they are seriously under-performing the line. The Bucks may not be the most talented team, but they come out and play hard every night and, against losing teams on the road, they are over .500 for the season. The Raptors are also just 2-11 ATS vs the East in their last 13 games and the Bucks have covered seven of the last ten in Toronto. The Bucks get the call in this one.

The odds-maker is saying outside the home-court advantage this game is even. That might be true of a healthy Boston team, but not this one. KG is just getting back into the swing after a knee injury kept him on the sidelines, Leon Powe is out, as well as Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine and a few others are playing hobbled. The Magic have won five straight at home and look at this as more important than Boston. They both have 18 losses and a Magic win gives them a leg up for home-court if they should meet in the playoffs. The Celtics are more interested in getting healthy and feel they can win on the road, I will go with Orlando here that views the stakes higher and are healthier.

The Hornets have snapped off the injury bug and have been rolling along, especially at home. The Hornets have buzzed to an 8-1 home mark in their last nine and overall have turned in 12 wins in their last 15 games. The Nuggets have been really struggling on the road as they have just one win to show for their last eight on the road and that was by just two points at lowly Memphis. The Nuggets have also dropped all of their last four vs the NBA Southwest, and I look for the Hornets to get the home win and will play them on the moneyline.
