Today's NBA Basketball Picks:

Game: Miami at New Jersey (7:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Miami -6 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

The Nets could be on their way to the worst team in NBA history in spite of the fact that they have played a tad better of late. This team has fared well getting a bundle of points, but when you reduce the amount of points down to 7 or less, they are a meager 8-23 ATS on the season. The bottom line is that this team can't compete close, but if you give them a ton of points, they will reward you. The Heat is the type of team that needs every win they can get, and when playing weak teams they don't lay down like a lot of NBA teams would. The Heat is 34-16-1 ATS vs. teams with a winning percentage below .400. I'll go with Miami here.

The Milwaukee Bucks have now become a product of their own success. Where the pendulum of value was once on them, is now heading away from them. The Bucks have over-achieved and now the price will be paid as they are a solid favorite vs. a very good team. The Hawks are 23-12 over the last 35, so they aren't exactly rolling over. They have also come up big as a dog of 5-10.5 where they are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29. This one could go either way, so the points are likely decisive here, and I'll go with Atlanta.
