Today's NBA Basketball Picks:
Game: Atlanta at Cleveland (1:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on Game Total UNDER 184.5 -110 (risk 4 to win 3.6)
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been roaring at home, coming into this game against the Hawks at 31-1 on the season. They are the best defensive team in the league in points allowed, and at home they are allowing opponents in just the mid-80s. When they have played to totals at home of 185 or less, they stand at 5-1 to the UNDER on the season. Atlanta has been a far superior team at home where they are 27-7, while they stand at just 14-21 on the road. Their struggles to score against the NBA's finest, those teams with a .600+ winning percentage, has seen them go 5-0 to the UNDER in their last five. Off of one day’s rest, Cleveland is now 21-7 to the UNDER, and I'm backing this one to finish UNDER the posted total.
Game: Indiana at Charlotte (7:00 PM Eastern)Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 198.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)
I really question this total and feel it is chock full of value. The Pacers have not played to a total posted below 200 since December 28th of last year, and just twice since around Thanksgiving and both of those games went soaring over the total. I respect the fact that the Bobcats are in the top 10 in the NBA in fewest points allowed per game, but this team has suddenly become offensive minded. The Bobcats opened the season scoring 100+ just 14 times in their first 51 games, but recently have scored 100+ in 11 of 18. That is 27.7% of the time that has increased to 61.1% of the time. Their last six games vs. teams that score in the top six in the NBA in points per game, the Bobcats have been even more offensive averaging 107.8 points per game! I like this one to go OVER the total.

The Kings have not been competitive in the win column on the road, as they come in with a dismal 4-31 road record. They have been highly competitive against the number vs. the teams with a losing reco...

Atlanta goes for the perfect 7-0 on this home stand and I really like them to accomplish it. Dallas has a 16-19 record on the road this season while the Hawks are nearly unbeatable at Phillips Arena. ...

There is no doubt about the Cavaliers strength at home. The NBA's overall defensive leader in points allowed at 91.3 is even stronger defensively at home. The Cavs are allowing just 86.6 points pe...
