Wunderdog $2,000 March Madness Bracket Contest Exclusive 100% Bonus at BetPhoenix! ![]() Today's NBA Basketball Picks: The Rockets have turned the corner and moving up at 21-9 and are playing .700 basketball over their last 30 games. Within that stretch was a 21-point thrashing of the Bobcats. The Bobcats put together a six-game winning streak that was snapped by San Antonio, but the schedule might have been more of the reason as five of the six were against teams that are under .500 for the season. The truth is that the Bobcats are just 1-10 SU in their last 11 games against the good teams that are .500 or better. Rockets have been dominating and pure cash against the NBA's Southeast as they are 20-6 ATS in their last 26. Against the NBA's Southwest, the Bobcats have been horrible posting an 11-25-2 mark. The Rockets keep flying high and take this one.Game: Chicago at Philadelphia (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Philadelphia -3.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Bulls are off a stretch that saw them win seven of 10 games, but have returned to form of late as they are just 4-6 over their last 10. They have not been a good road team especially when they have to face a team that is .500 or better. The Bulls are a dismal 4-16 SU on the road against the good teams in the league. The Sixers at 13-5, have shown the ability to beat the under .500 teams on their home floor this season. The Bulls have played at their worst against teams from the NBA's Atlantic Division where they own a money-burning 8-22 ATS mark in their last 30. The Bulls have not had much success in Philly where they stand at 2-5 against the number in their last seven visits. The Sixers get the call here.Game: Indiana at Atlanta (7:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Indiana +5.5 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6) The Hawks have played well all year at home. But their last five home tilts have all been against top teams and might get caught relaxing here. They have been caught in this situation for most of the season and as a result, Atlanta owns just a 6-9 ATS mark at home vs. teams under .500. The Pacers have been under the radar all season and at 20-11 ATS in their last 31, it is their testament. They are also 8-3 ATS on the road against .500+ teams in their last 11, and 17-5 ATS overall against them in their last 22. They are certainly giant killers this season. They have been particularly strong off a double-digit loss going 10-1 ATS, so I like them with the points in this spot.Game: Memphis at Boston (7:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 5 units on Memphis +12.5 (-110) (risk 5 to win 4.6) Pick: 2 units on Game Total OVER 192.5 -110 (risk 2 to win 1.8) The Boston Celtics are a very banged up team right now. They are missing their PG in Rondo, their enforcer inside in Garnett, and three other key contributors. I'd buy this line with a healthy Celtics’ team, but not the one they will have on the floor tonight. The Grizzlies haven't found many wins, but they have improved enough to be playing way over the line as they are 11-6 ATS in their last 17 games. The injuries have also changed the efficiency of the Celtic defense. What took them 43 games to have occur, has now taken just 20. The Celtics gave up 100+ just 10 times over their first 43 games, but have allowed 100+ in 10 of their last 20. I like the Grizzlies here, as well as the OVER.Game: Dallas at Golden State (10:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Dallas -1 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Golden State Warriors have a winning record at home but are under .500 at home vs. teams that are better than .500 on the season, so being a favorite here is suspect. The Mavericks have it going now with three straight wins and covers. The last two Mavericks’ wins were straight-up wins as an underdog - truly indicating they are on an up tick. The Mavs have been feasting on defenseless opponents as they are 8-1 ATS in their last nine vs. a team that allowed 100+ in their last game, which is the norm for the Warriors. The Warriors are also finding life miserable against the NBA's Southwest at 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine. I'm backing the Mavs in this one. Results: 3-3 ![]() NBA Basketball Picks Resources:
