Today's NBA Basketball Picks:

Game: Utah at Atlanta (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Atlanta -2 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)

There's no place like home for both of these teams as each has struggled on the road. The bad news for the Jazz, they are traveling for this one. The Jazz have won 12 straight, but a closer look shows eight of those at home and four road wins vs teams under .500. The real streak that applies here is the Jazz have not won a game on the road vs a .500+ team since just before Christmas and they haven't covered against one since just after Christmas. Hawks at 22-7 have been tough all season at home and are now 5-0 ATS in their last five overall vs teams with a winning record. Wrong place for the Jazz, and the Hawks get the call here.

For just the second time all season Memphis will be favored on the road tonight facing Minnesota. Here is a team that has mustered just four road wins all season in the favorite role? I'm not buying it despite the fact that Minnesota does not have Al Jefferson. This Grizzlies team isn't exactly beating up the competition themselves as they have turned in a 1-10 mark for their last 11 games. The Grizzlies also support a money burning 6-20 ATS mark vs the NBA Northwest and are just 1-4 ATS in their last five tries as a favorite. I'm going with Minnesota in this one.

The Lakers looked like they would easily coast across the finishline with the best record in the NBA and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, but that isn't so certain anymore as they have now dropped three of their last five games, all three on the road. Cleveland has played lights out at home all season, but the Rockets are now matching them win for win as they are a perfect 13-0 in their last 13 at home. Don't forget they took down a hot Cleveland team here by 19. The Lakers have not gotten the bounce off a loss as they are just 4-11 ATS after losing and with just a day's rest they enter here just 7-19 ATS. Rockets stepping it up on home hardwood with a 9-4 ATS mark vs the last 13 with a winning record. Lakers appear ripe while the Rockets on fire at home, choice here to the Rockets.
