 Today's NBA Basketball Picks: The Detroit Pistons are definitely a team on the decline and it is showing up big on their own court that they have had a very difficult time protecting. The Pistons are just 2-8 SU at home in their last ten games and they have not beaten anyone by this margin during that stretch. The fact is since November 28th, the Pistons own just two wins at home by ten or more, so this is a serious overlay at work. The Warriors certainly aren't king of the road by any stretch and are capable of being blown out, but Detroit hasn't shown that ability against anyone. Can't trust the Pistons in this price range as they have not been getting it done regardless of the opponent. Golden St. and the points here.Game: Cleveland at Boston (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Game Total UNDER 185 -110 (risk 4 to win 3.6) These teams have a lot of respect for each other, but no love. The rivalry is on after Boston disposed of the Cavs in an exciting playoff series last season. The series was for the most part ugly, which is another word for defense. They showed how nasty they can be on the defensive end as four games in the series didn't make it past 165 points scored and two finished in the 140s. The Celtics are two games shy of the Cavs, and Lakers in the loss column, and this is a pivital game for them as it is the Cavs. I would expect another ugly playoff type game here. Cavs have gone 23-7 ATS after an ATS win to the UNDER. Boston brings its best defense against the best as they have been 11-2 to the under in their last 13 vs teams with an over .600 winning percentage. UNDER gets the call here.Game: Milwaukee at Chicago (8:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 5 units on Milwaukee +6.5 (-110) (risk 5 to win 4.6) This Bulls team which was young and made the playoffs two years ago was expected to mature into an annual playoff contender. Last year they completely under-achieved and many thought they'd be back again this season, but the same results. They had their best run of the season going 7-3, but have settled back to mediocrity going 3-4 in their last seven. The Bucks are injured, but competitive. The Bucks lead the NBA in one big category. They have won 16 games outright as an underdog on the season, a true indication that a team that closed last year 3-21 has come a long way, but more importantly, competes hard every night. The same can't be said about the under-achieving Bulls who are off their run and ripe to be taken. I'll back the Bucks here. NBA Basketball Picks Resources:
