NBA Premium Picks Newsletter June 14, 2007
Lost on the Cavs last time out. NBA picks hitting 65% (13-7) since May 19. One selection today as the Spurs look to close out the Cavs.
Today's NBA Basketball Picks:
Game: San Antonio at Cleveland (9:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on San Antonio -3
What is left for the Cavs? They fell back to Detroit 2-0, and came roaring back to sweep the next four games. They had the experience from last year against that team in the Eastern Finals, to know they could come back. They have no experience here. The fact is that they should have won all six games over the Pistons. And the fact is they should be down 3-0 against the Spurs. Duncan has a poor game, Ginobli does nothing, Parker is ordinary, the Cavs out-rebound the Spurs, force more turnovers, were at home in a must win situation and lose. LeBron James even said in an interview, that they are waving the white flag, realizing this series is over. Cleveland was full of excitement over their Cavs, anticipating a game 3 win and that whole city is now in mourning. They tore the heart out of the fans and the players. History shows that this is not an exception. Since 1959, eight NBA teams have taken a 3-0 lead in the Finals, and seven of them went on to get the sweep! The better part of that is that six of those occurred on the road. This is an experienced San Antonio team and they will end this tonight and not elongate the series and allow the Cavs to even think they can comeback, because right now they know the mindset of the Cavs is just waiting to be put away, and the Spurs will do it early.
