Nba Game Predictions - February 29, 2008

Today's NBA Basketball Picks:
Game: Indiana at Toronto (7:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Toronto -10 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)
The Pacers haven't been able to get much going over the second half of the season, as they have been just 7-22. They have dropped seven of eight to teams with winning records on the road, with five of those losses coming by 13 or more points. The Pacers have not fared well as a dog either, as they are now just 1-9 ATS in their last ten getting points. The Raptors have been eating up the sub-.500 teams on their home-court. They sport a 12-1 record at home vs these teams, and have won all of them by 9+ points! Their last ten wins vs the sub-.500 teams have all come by 11 points or more, and by an amazing average of 18.9 ppg. They are crushing these teams, and we expect more of the same tonight.
Game: Charlotte at Boston (7:30 PM Eastern)Pick: 4 units on First Half UNDER 100.5 -110 (risk 4 to win 3.6)
Six of the last seven games these teams have played in Boston have gone UNDER in the first half. Charlotte is without their leading scorer Gerald Wallace here - out with a concussion. That's not good for a team that averages 91.5 ppg on the road and is going to play a team that allows just 87.5 per game at home. The Celtics are holding foes to just 42.1 ppg in the first half here all season. We like the game UNDER here as well but the best value is on the first half UNDER (the full game line is 196 while the first half line is 100.5). Boston's defense is going to smother Charlotte here in a huge way and this one will come in UNDER.
Game: Utah at New Orleans (8:00 PM Eastern)Pick: 3 units on New Orleans -4.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)
Utah is one of the few teams that has owned the Hornets this season. New Orleans has suffered two straight blowout losses to the Jazz and it's payback time tonight. Both of those games were in Utah and this one is in New Orleans. The Jazz are 25-3 at home but just 12-18 (SU and ATS) on the road. They are coming off a home win and are just 25-37 ATS in that situation the past two seasons. New Orleans, meanwhile is 16-7 ATS this season coming off a double-digit win. We talked about revenge. Note that the Hornets are 10-2 ATS this season revenging a loss in which they gave up 100+ points. Hornets get their revenge and cover tonight.
Game: Miami at Seattle (10:30 PM Eastern)Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 198.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)
A total in this game under 200? Are you kidding. Miami allows 101 per game on the season. Seattle allows 104.3 per game (106.6 over their last five games). Sure, neither offense is proflific but Seattle gets 98 per game at home. We see both teams making it to triple digits. Miami is 19-9 OVER in non-conference games teh past two seasons. They are 17-6 OVER off a road loss and 12-4 OVER after having lost 4+ of their last five games this season, too.
