We split our 5-unit NBA picks last night and finished 2-2 overall for a slight gain. Over the last six weeks in NBA we are up +11 units at 34-30. Today, two picks including another 5-unit play.

Today's NBA Basketball Picks:

The Chicago Bulls took a long time to find a way to score without Ben Gordon. The Bulls’ highest scoring total of the season over their first 28 games was 101 points. This team finally figured it out and has been rolling ever since, especially clicking on the offensive end. The Bulls appear to get stronger offensively with each game and over their last seven, have averaged over 112 points per game, so listed as a dog here, I really see value in the over vs. an Indiana team that is offense first. These teams put up 230 just a week ago. The Pacers have allowed 110+ in 22 games this season, so they surely aren't playing much defense, and three of their last four have been 110+. The Bulls at 10-3-1 to the OVER vs. teams with a winning percentage of less than .400, and four of the last five between these clubs has eclipsed the total. I'll go with the OVER.

The Jazz are just coming down from their most complete basketball of the season. They went through a 9-0 stretch scoring 111 points per game with no game under 105. Things have changed dramatically. The low of 105, has not been reached in any of the Jazz' last nine games, the average is just 97. At the same time, the Jazz have not allowed more than 105 in any of the last nine either, so the games have slowed down after a frenzied pace. The Rockets average 101 ppg on the season, but they have averaged less than 100 over their last nine as well. We have two offensive teams that are mired in an offensive rut with a 200+ total. The Rockets have played 14-6 to the UNDER in their last 20 on the road and I look for this one to stay UNDER the total.
