Free Nba Basketball Picks - February 19, 2009

We nailed our lone pick again last night to pick up +3.6 units. Last night's winner pushed our three month NBA run to 58%, 168-124 (+93.3 units). Two more NBA plays today.

Game: San Antonio at Detroit (8:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 4 units on San Antonio +1 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 180.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7)

This game is always a bruising, physical affair. They met earlier in the season at San Antonio and produced their typical ugly game. The final tally in that one was 166 points. It has been the theme between these two for the last four years as their games have averaged an ugly 165.1 points per game scored. Detroit is at their defensive best against the top teams as they have already played to a 6-0 mark to the UNDER this season at home against teams .600+. The numbers read even uglier: Cleveland (170), Boston (164 and 164) and Orlando (170). Look for this one to be in that same area - a game likely to play in the low 80s. I'll back the UNDER here. And, with the line moving, I'm getting on the Spurs as well, now as a dog. They are 17-10 this season on the road and facing a team that is just .500 at home (14-14). Detroit is just 7-15 ATS this year vs. a winning opponent and 7-21 ATS at home. I'll take the better team, getting points.
