Today's NBA Basketball Picks:

Game: Detroit at Indiana (7:00 PM Eastern)

The Pistons have not allowed anyone to score 100 points on them without the benefit of overtime in their last 11 games. There was one exception to that statement - this Indiana team put up 105 in Detroit. What is significant about that? It is the most points the Pistons have allowed all season at home. Now they take on this Pacers team that is healthy, and has the pace quickening again. Indiana is off to the races once again, putting up 130 in their last game. The problem for the Pacers is that they have also allowed 100+ in 19 of their last 23 games. That sets the stage for this one to play OVER the total, and both of these teams have identical 7-2 marks to the OVER off of two days of rest. The last six meetings between these clubs in Indiana have seen five go OVER the total. I'll play this one to finish OVER the total.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been a force at home where they have been 12-1 in their last 13 games. The problem is that when they have been a favorite in this same stretch of four or more, they have posted just a 1-4-1 ATS mark, so the winning has come, but it hasn't been easy. The Rockets broke out of a 9 of 10 (ATS) loss slump to win in resounding fashion vs. the Warriors last time out. While the Grizzlies have won a lot of home games, it seems like they struggle against teams they should beat and they either win by a few late, or cough the game up. The points will be crucial here as I see this one coming down to the wire, so I will take Houston in this one.

The Suns have now won four straight games, three of them outright as a dog and all four vs. a winning team. Overall they have now played their last six games against winning teams. If there was ever a spot for a team to be flat it would be tonight vs. Sacramento, which is dangerous at home. The Kings took Cleveland and the LA Lakers to OT here as well as beating Denver twice and dropping their last one to San Antonio by just 2. It takes a full effort to beat this team at home, something that might be a difficult task for the Suns to do tonight. The Suns are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven vs. a team with a losing record. I like the Sacramento Kings in this one.
