Game: Detroit at New Jersey (7:30 PM Eastern)

New Jersey could set the record for single-season losses this season. But, they aren't the only team with problems this season. Detroit has gone 4-19 in their last 23 games. And, they are just 4-17 on the road this season, losing by 8 points per game. This is a winnable game for the Nets and I think they show up. There are signs of hope for New Jersey as their defense has held their last three opponents to just 83.7 points per game on average. When facing teams with a losing record, the Pistons are 23-36 ATS the past couple of seasons. Over that same span they are 21-37 ATS in games with a total in the 180s. When coming off a home loss, they are 2-10 ATS this season and when coming off back-to-back losses, the Pistons are 7-15 ATS this year. I like the Nets here.

The Golden State Warriors have the public perception of being a poor road team. That is because they are just 4-20 on the road this season. What goes unnoticed is their ability to get the money on the road. Despite going 1-7 on the road in their last eight, Golden St. is 7-1 ATS, so the points do matter with this team. The Warriors have also covered their last five. Houston is just 5-9 in their last 14 games, and of the five wins, two of them were in OT. They are now 0-8 ATS in their last eight games as a favorite and are heading in the wrong direction. The Warriors are also at 34-15-2 ATS in their last 51 vs. an opponent allowing 100+ in their last game. The dog has covered 24 of the last 33 in this series, so I'm taking the points and backing Golden St. here.
