We hit the NBA playoffs floor tonight with a pair of 5-unit selections from the Dallas vs. San Antonio dust-up.

Today's NBA Basketball Picks:

Game: Dallas at San Antonio (8:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 5 units on San Antonio -180 (moneyline) (risk 5 to win 2.8)

The Mavericks went on a 13-game winning streak, but the team has struggled vs. good teams since. Dallas has posted a losing record of 5-7 in their last 12, and 1-3 on the road. The San Antonio Spurs are a tough out in the playoffs, having gone 20-6-3 ATS as a favorite, and 25-4 straight-up in the 29 games. That certainly puts some valued odds on the moneyline here, so I'm grabbing San Antonio on the moneyline.

The San Antonio Spurs look to close out the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs seem to be a team that can’t get over the hump in the NBA playoffs. The Mavs ran off a string of 13 straight wins that made them look like a player in the NBA West, but since that time they are just 12-9, and just 5-7 vs. teams that made the playoffs, going 1-3 on the road. The Spurs have been a fixture in the playoffs for better than a decade and stand in at 20-6-3 ATS as a playoff favorite. They have also been 10-1 ATS following a game where they allowed 100+. I'll go with San Antonio to close out the series.
