![]() Today's NBA Basketball Picks: The Charlotte Bobcats find themselves in a 0-2 hole coming home for game three vs. the Magic. It isn't much of a surprise however, as this young Bobcats team finished the season going 1-10 in their last 11 on the road vs. playoff teams. The story has been completely different at home as the Cats have gone 11-3 at home vs. playoff teams in their last 14. I expect a desperate team that has done extremely well at home vs. very solid teams to get their first win of the series. Orlando had scored 97+ points in 10 straight games and the Bobcats held them to an average of 96 points per game on the road. Charlotte led the NBA in fewest points allowed in the NBA this season, and can certainly play some defense. The Magic is just 5-11-1 ATS on the road vs. a team with a home winning percentage of over .600. The Magic are also 28-13-2 to the UNDER in their last 43, while Charlotte is 10-1-1 to the UNDER in their last 12 as a dog. I like Charlotte and the UNDER in this one.Game: Phoenix at Portland (4:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Portland +2 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) No writeup for this game.Game: Phoenix at Portland (4:35 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 203 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7) No writeup for this game.Game: Atlanta at Milwaukee (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Milwaukee -1 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Atlanta Hawks breezed through the first two games of this series with a pair of 10-point wins. That isn't what the story is about here however. The Hawks have an elongated history of struggling on the road in the playoffs. Going back to 1990, the Hawks have been dreadful on the road at just 8-29 and that includes 1-13 in their last 14 road playoffs games. The Bucks have really been dealing the cash as a small favorite as they have put together a mark of 29-5-1 ATS in their last 26 as a favorite of 4.5 or less. The Bucks are a strong 34-15-2 ATS overall in their last 51 and have been under the radar all year. I'll go with Milwaukee in this one.Game: Los Angeles Lakers at Oklahoma City (9:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Oklahoma City -2 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6) This might be a No. 1 seed vs. a No. 8 seed, but the Lakers have really had a hard time holding off this young, but talented Thunder team. The Thunder was down 2-0, got off to a horrible first quarter start in game three, and could have wilted, but they climbed back in the game. When the game was on the line in the fourth quarter, they were the ones with the answers, not the Lakers. Many don't get to see Kevin Durant play much, but he has outscored Kobe 85-84 in the three games. More importantly, he is getting to the line where he had 30 attempts in the three games, while Kobe became a jump shooter in game three and did not get to the line once. They are making Kobe work for everything he gets as he has attempted 76 shots, but making just 36.8%. The Lakers are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 posted as a dog of 2.5 or less on the road, while the Thunder claims a 13-3 ATS mark as a home chalk of 4.5 or less. I like Oklahoma City here to even the series. Results: 5-1 ![]() NBA Basketball Picks Resources:
