Nba Free Picks - April 22, 2010We are 43-21 for 67% in all sports over the last five days. In NBA, we grabbed the win yesterday with our play on Orlando. We are now 16-5 for 76% over the last two weeks in NBA, good for +34 units. Today we strike with four premium picks including a 5-unit play and a pair of 4-unit selections.
![]() Today's NBA Basketball Picks: The Chicago Bulls aren't even close to being the same offensive team they were a year ago when Ben Gordon was lighting it up vs. the Celtics. This is much more of a half-court team, placing value at the defensive end. The Bulls needed wins late to get here, and played 11-4 to the UNDER in their last 15 games. The Cavaliers have LeBron and many see them as an offensive team because of it, but that simply has not been the case for this team, especially in the early rounds of the playoffs. The Cavs, in their last 44 playoff games in rounds one and two, have played to the UNDER to the tune of a 28-16 mark. I look for similar results here, and will play the UNDER in this one.Game: Los Angeles Lakers at Oklahoma City (9:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Oklahoma City -3.5 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6) The Lakers have a commanding 2-0 lead in this series, but I wouldn't count the Thunder out yet. This is a young team that many would have expected to cave-in on the road in the playoffs, but they did anything but, coming within 3 points to the No. 1 seed Lakers on the road. The Thunder has to be feeling like they can play with the Lakers and with game three at home and feeling desperate, I expect them to notch the win tonight. The Lakers have dropped their last six following a straight-up win, while the Thunder is an impressive 48-21 ATS after a straight-up loss. I’m backing Oklahoma City in this one.Game: Phoenix at Portland (10:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Portland +1 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6) Pick: 3 units on Game Total OVER 204.5 -110 (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Portland Trailblazers got the game they needed in Phoenix to come home with the series tied at a game apiece. They really took it on the chin in game two, losing to the Suns by 29 points, but that just sets the stage for games three, swinging the value over to the Blazers. Teams that take huge playoff losses have come back to a resounding bang in the following game. Without getting specific, this sets up a situation that has cashed close to 65% of the time and will be active here on Portland in game three. The Suns know one way to play and that is fast and offensive, and it has led to some biased results regarding totals, playoffs or not. The Suns over their last 30+ games with a total set at under 210, have cashed close to 75% of them to the OVER, and I expect nothing different here in this one. I like Portland and the OVER here. Results: 1-3 ![]() NBA Basketball Picks Resources:
