Game: Miami at Orlando (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Miami +11
Miami lost to Orlando all three times this season. They were humilated in the last two losses, 97-83 and 97-68. Do they really want to lay down here to this particular team again and enter the playoffs on that sour note? No. They want to enter the playoffs on an up-note as is Pat Riley's style. It doesn't mean the Heat won't rest starters - they will. But, the rest of the players will be pushed to compete. This number is huge and Miami is 27-14 ATS this season as an underdog while Orlando is 45-65 ATS as a favorite over the past three seasons. The Magic are also a pitiful 3-11 ATS at home this season vs. winning teams. Look for Miami to keep it within double-digits.
Game: Dallas at Seattle (10:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Seattle +7 Pick: 2 units on Game Total UNDER 200 -110
Seattle has lost four straight and eight of nine and they are out of the playoffs. But they haven't completely given up. They have only lost two games ATS in their last six. Dallas showed what they think about these last couple of meaningless games, losing to Golden State last night by 29 points. They rested Dirk Nowitzki, Jerry Stackhouse, Josh Howard and Erick Dampier. This is no surprise. Dallas has one goal this season and only one goal. If they don't win the NBA championship, it's a failed season. Why risk their starters at the end of the season? They have the best record and home court advantage already locked up. This game means more to Seattle than Dallas as it's a real opportunity for them to break Dallas' ten-game winning streak vs. the Sonics. With Dallas' starters resting, don't expect a whole lot of offense from them. They are also tired and they are 22-11 UNDER on the road this season when playing back-to-back games. We look for Dallas to struggle to score tonight and for Seattle to keep it close with the game going UNDER.
