Free Basketball Betting Picks - April 16, 2008

Today's NBA Basketball Picks:
Game: Milwaukee at Minnesota (8:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Minnesota -7.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)
Safe to say that Milwaukee has packed it in and there is certainly nothing to get excited about heading to Minnesota for the season finale. The Bucks are just 1-11 on the road in their last 12, and have dropped seven straight overall, the last four by double-digits. The T-Wolves have more than held their own against the sub-.500 teams at home this season, compiling a 9-4 record. At least being at home where they have done well against these caliber teams should be enough to fuel a big win over a team that has shown no desire to play over the last few weeks.
Game: Utah at San Antonio (9:30 PM Eastern)Pick: 3 units on Utah +4 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)
Utah has matured as a team and winning at home has come easy, but they have now become a team to be reckoned with on the road as well. They have been strong down the stretch, as they have gone 17-5. After enduring a stretch of going 1-5 SU and 1-5 ATS against playoff teams on the road. They have since been 6-2 SU, and 7-1 ATS. After a 6-1 ATS start against playoff teams San Antonio has now been only 5-10 ATS in their last 15. Utah has a shot to win here, so we will grab them with the points.
Game: Portland at Phoenix (10:00 PM Eastern)Pick: 3 units on Phoenix -11.5 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7)
The West is log-jammed as the Suns are currently in a three-way tie for the fourth-best record. Since the No. 4 spot is critical regarding potential home/road playoff scenerios, the Suns should put forth a strong effort. They have destroyed teams at home that are not playoff bound, winning seven of the last eight by 14+, and six of the last eight by 20+. Portland has nothing left but to end the season, after their early season surprise winning streak and subsequent losing, they have been eight games under .500 since. The Suns win big here.
