Game: Washington at Miami (7:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Miami -9.5
Washington has suffered a couple late injuries to Butler and Arenas which represents 48-ppg 12-rebounds per game and 10-asists per game, let alone leadership and clutch performances down the stretch. They were struggling anyway just 12-21 in their last 33 games but now face a monumental task to just play representative basketball. O'Neal and Wade will both be on the floor for Miami so they are instantly better. Wade needs some minutes before the playoffs begin so expect to see him in larger doses tonight. Too much to overcome for Washington against a team that will have its two starts logging ample minutes.
Game: Sacramento at San Antonio (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Sacramento +13
Sacramento has been on an offensive roll, averaging 110-points per game (PPG) in their last four, and doing it consistently with no game under 106 points. They have managed 100+ in 8 of 9 games. San Antonio has given up 90+points in 5 of their last 6, for only the second time all season - signs that they have taken the intensity out of their defense as the season winds to a close and begin to conserve some energy for the playoffs. Sacramento should score enough to keep this one to 10 points or less and we will ride the big dog here.
Game: Dallas at Minnesota (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Minnesota -2
This is strictly a situational play. Dallas has clinched and will not play Nowitzki, Stackhouse, or Dampier and others will see limited roles. Minnesota will still view this as a game against the best and will walk away a big winner.
Game: Denver at Utah (9:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Utah -1
This is a perfect set up. Utah looks like they are playing lousy, as they have dropped 10 of their last 15 games while Denver has won six in a row. Utah lost 9 of those 10 games on the road but has in fact been 29-8 at home on the year, but more importantly, 13-2 in their last 15. Nothing gets this team healthier than home cookin’ and this line is reflected on what they have not done on the road. Denver playing with revenge? Hasn't helped much, as Utah has won the last six and most of them blowouts. Utah in this one.
Game: Seattle at Phoenix (10:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Seattle +14.5
Phoenix has all but wrapped up the second-best record in the West and don't expect them to expend any more energy than they have to here to get the win. Seattle has played 6-2 in their last eight as a dog. Phoenix has no reason to show up here and their past history seems to indicate the same. They are just 20-43-3 ATS vs. teams with a winning road percentage of .400 or less.
