![]() Today's NBA Basketball Picks: There is nothing about Washington that will inspire the Magic's "A" game in this one, especially with less than a week to go in the regular season. The Magic are pretty much locked into the #2 spot in the playoffs, and you can be sure a lot of the starters will play less minutes than they typically would. The Wizards have played quite well lately after breaking a 16 game losing streak, winning three of their last four. They look to be competitive in this one vs a disinterested Orlando team. I'll back Washington here, who has also covered three of their last four getting 10+.Game: New York Knicks at Indiana (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on New York Knicks +10 (-110) (risk 3 to win 2.7) The Indiana Pacers have played much better of late, but let's take a close look at what the oddsmakers are doing here. The Knicks were a smaller dog on the road recently with trips to San Antonio and Boston. So, what they are saying here is the Pacers are on a level above that. I'm not buying into it, especially with a Knicks team that has been one of the best dog teams in the NBA over the last four years. The Pacers have not been this big of a favorite all season and this one is a classic overlay. I'm going with the Knicks here.Game: New Jersey at Milwaukee (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on New Jersey +8 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6) The New Jersey Nets are still a horrible team in the eyes of the public, but what they don't see is what this team has done as a sizable dog. The Nest are playing as good, or better, than they have all season. Even when they were at their worst, they were getting the money when posted as a dog of seven or more, where they are 14-6 ATS in their last 20. The Bucks are an improved team for sure, but the sight of the Nets is a breather alert for teams which allows an improving team to stay inside the number. I'll go with the Nets here.Game: Golden State at Minnesota (8:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Golden State +110 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 3.3) Hard to see the T-Wolves being favored in this one. This is a team that has shown a lot of quit, and stand in at 2-24 over their last 26 games. The quit shows up on the defensive end. The T-Wolves allowed 100+ points in just 15 of their first 31 games, but since then has allowed 100+ in 38 of their last 47. It has gotten progressively worse as the season winds down, allowing 109.2ppg in the 2-24 negative run over their last 26 games. Golden St. can score, and if the Wolves play defense the way they have been, they are in big trouble here. I'll go with Golden St. on the moneyline.Game: San Antonio at Phoenix (10:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Phoenix -6.5 (-110) (risk 4 to win 3.6) The Spurs have played everyone tough at home, but stand just two games over the .500 mark on the road. Phoenix is 29-9 at home and charging late with a 10-1 mark in their last 11 games. They are also 11-2 at home in their last 13. The Suns are also getting the money as they are 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 games, and after allowing 100+, they have come back to post a 16-4-1 ATS mark. The Suns have not failed to cover in each of their last seven as a favorite of 5-10.5. This one goes to Phoenix. Results: 3-2 ![]() NBA Basketball Picks Resources:
