Game: Indiana at Charlotte (7:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Charlotte -3.5
Charlotte is 17-8 ATS as a home favorite in franchise history including 6-0 in last month of the season. They are also 7-1 ATS lifetime vs. Indiana. The Pacers are just 3-18 ATS their last 21 (lost 11 straight) while Charlotte is 8-5 their last 13 including a recent 4-1 run. The Bobcats are also 40-17 ATS after giving up 100 points in their last game including 24-12 this year. They are 14-5 ATS this season after allowing 100+ in two straight games. Indiana is 12-21 ATS as an underdog this season. Too much going against the Pacers for them to break out of their funk tonight.
Game: Minnesota at New York (7:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Game Total OVER 188 -110
These teams met once this year in November and tallied 196 points. In March of 2006, they scored 192. It's not unlikely for New York to get to triple digits here as they average 100.3 per game at home and Minnesota gives up 98.3 on the road while allowing 104 per game over their last five! Yes, they are hobbled by injuries but despite that they are averaging 96 per game over their last four. The T-Wolves are 23-12 OVER this season to a total set in the 180s. They are also 20-7 OVER vs. non-conference opponents and 22-10 OVER vs. losing teams. Over the past two seasons they are 22-10 OVER off a home loss and 25-12 OVER after a double-digit beat down.
Game: Utah at Sacramento (10:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Sacramento +3 Pick: 2 units on First Half UNDER 98 -110
Sacramento has covered six of the last nine vs. Utah including three of the last four here at home. Utah's scoring falls off precipitously on the road as compared to home and of late they are not scoring much (93, 86, 89 in their last three games). Sacramento gets 103 per game at home on the season and they have even picked that up lately soaring over 100 in five of their last six games averaging 104 per game. Utah is just 18-30 ATS in the favorite role this season and 14-24 ATS vs. losing teams this season. The Jazz are also 25-13 UNDER to the first half line vs. losing teams including eight out of their last nine! Yes, Sacramento doesn't have much defense but Utah is also 20-8 UNDER in the first half this season vs. poor defensive teams that allow 46%+ shooting. They are also 16-3 UNDER first half when instilled as a road favorite. Look for a low scoring game in which Sacramento keeps it close and maybe wins.
Game: Los Angeles Lakers at Seattle (10:30 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Seattle +3.5
LA is on a skid that they just can't seem to get out of. They've needed to win but haven't been able to. Bryant is scoring at will but it's not translating into W's as they've lost four of their last five games, three as favorites. Seattle is off of three losses but two were on the road and the other was at home against Denver. THis is the most winninable game for them in the four game stretch. The Lakers, just 15-22 on the road and allowing 103.2 per game, should not be favored by 3.5 here against a team with a winning home record. LA is just 14-23 ATS this season against overall losing teams and 8-19 ATS overall since the midway point of the season. Take the Sonics plus the points.
