![]() Today's MLB Baseball Picks: Baltimore was not winning on the road all season at just 24-48 and have now dropped five straight games with their loss to Toronto last night. The Birds have scored just 11 runs in the five games, or barely two runs per game. The pitching, which has been a problem all season, has allowed 35 runs, so they are getting outscored by a ratio of 3-1. The Jays biggest problem is playing in the tough AL East, but when they play at home against a team with a losing record they have been 17-7 this season. Baltimore has had trouble with left-hand pitching all season, and they are now just 5-17 in their last 22 against the port-siders. The Jays have cashed 15 of last 20 vs. a team with a road winning percentage of below .400. The Jays have also dominated Baltimore here as they are 23-8 when facing the Birds in Toronto. I'll go with the Jays in this one.Game: Minnesota at Chicago (8:10 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Minnesota +140 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 4.2) The Minnesota Twins are hanging in the AL Central race, and need a win to at least stay within striking distance of the Detroit Tigers. They will summon Jeff Manship to start for the fourth time, and he has done a good job giving the Twins a chance to win as they have won two of his three starts on the season. He will be opposed by John Danks who has pitched very well in his last four starts, but the White Sox have won just one of the four. The biggest reason is a shaky bullpen that has allowed 10 runs in the four starts. The Twins have been playing well, winners of seven of their last eight, and have also won five straight against teams with a losing record. The White Sox have dropped five of Danks' last six starts vs. the AL Central, and collectively, the division has destroyed the Sox's chances as they are just 6-15 in their last 21 vs. the AL Central. The Twins are now 7-1 in their last eight meetings with the White Sox, so I'll go with Minnesota here. ![]() MLB Baseball Picks Resources:
