Game: Milwaukee at Pittsburgh (7:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: 1 star on Milwaukee +110 (risk 100 to win 110)

Milwaukee starts lefty Doug Davis here and Pittsburhg does not perform well against left handers. They are 10-35 on the season against htem, losing by an average of 1.4 runs per game. The Pirates also start a lefty - Zach Duke. Milwaukee likes them, however as they actually have a winning record against lefties and knock in almost a half run per game more as compared to righties. Davis is well rested and he's 13-5 the past two seasons off 5+ days of rest. Brewers here.

Minnesota still owns the best home record in the Majors. They are 48-23 here. They are also the team with the best overall record since June 8th (58-26). Oakland is nipping at their heels with the second-best record over that span. Two average starters face off here with Joe Blanton going against Carlos Silva. Minnesota has taken all three of the games in this series this season and I like them to record #4 here at home. They score 5.3 per game at home while allowing just 3.9. They are 17-7 vs. very good teams like Oakland (those with 54%+ record). Can't not back the Twins at near even money at home.
