Mlb Pick - September 08, 2010We took a good hit yesterday, missing the mark on our MLB Game of the Month. We look to get back on track and add to our two month MLB numbers at 90-61 (60%), netting our $100 per unit bettors $2,580 during that time. Today we have three premium MLB picks, including the early game selection below.
![]() Today's MLB Baseball Picks: Livan Hernandez has given the Nats stability in the rotation, having one of his best years. He has been hit hard his last three outings, but facing a Mets team that has produced little offense this season, particularly on the road, should be just what the doctor ordered. He has dominated this Mets lineup to the tune of three runs in three starts covering 20.1 innings of work for an ERA of 1.33. R.A. Dickey has supplied the Mets staff with a pleasant surprise, but it isn't translating to the win column. The Mets behind Dickey in his last nine road starts show just a 2-7 mark. The Mets are struggling to find a winning streak as they are just 2-25 following a win. I'll go with Washington here.Game: Kansas City at Minnesota (8:10 PM Eastern) Pick: 4 units on Minnesota -155 (moneyline) (risk 4 to win 2.6) Zack Grienke lit up the baseball world with an impressive start to the 2009 season. Greinke was 7-1 pitching to a 0.60 ERA. What has followed is respect from the oddsmakers, but no results for the Royals. Over his last 55 starts, the Royals are 21-34 and his ERA has been a pedestrian 4+. Minnesota has lit him up in a big way. The last 20 innings Grienke has faced the Twins, he has allowed 20 earned runs, for an ERA of nine. Brian Duensing seems to be the next top lefthander for the Twins, who keep developing quality pitching. Like Santana and Liriano before him, he is opening eyes with 100 innings of work and a 2.09 ERA. He has been virtually untouchable at home pitching to an even lower 1.30 ERA. I like the Twins in this one.Game: Seattle at Oakland (10:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Oakland -200 (moneyline) (risk 2 to win 1) Seattle scored more than four runs in a game for the first time in 15 games and it took five in one inning to do so. This is still a brutally bad offense. It was just the 14th time all year they reached seven or more runs. Does that mean they are hot? Hardly, after posting 7+ runs in their previous 13 times they have done so on the season, they have followed with averaging less than three! The Mariners are just 29-62 in their last 91 as a dog and 11-42 as a dog from -151 to -200. The A's are 142-69 at home vs teams below .400 on the road. They are also tough at home behind Gonzalez, who has led them to a 10-1 mark as a home favorite. I'll go with Oakland in this one. Results: 2-1 ![]() MLB Baseball Picks Resources:
