Today's MLB Baseball Picks:
Game: Pittsburgh at Cincinnati (7:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on Cincinnati -110 (moneyline) (risk 2 to win 1.8)
The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped both games yesterday, making their road record dip to 18-48. The Pirates have now lost their last nine on the road, and 14 of their last 15. It also means they are now 3-23 in their last 26 on the road. They have become automatic fade material on the road. The Reds went through a bad stretch, but are now on a 7-2 run, with the only losses coming at the hands of the LA Dodgers, which is a much different team than they are seeing here in the Pirates, who have thrown in the towel. The Reds have now won six straight against the NL Central, and look like they are ready to sweep the Pirates. I'm going with Cincinnati here.
Game: Pittsburgh at Cincinnati (7:15 PM Eastern)Pick: 2 units on Cincinnati -1.5 runs +190 (runline) (risk 2 to win 3.8)
The Pirates have quit, especially on the road where they have now dropped nine straight games, 14 out of 15, and are just 3-23 in their last 26 games. This team was always bad on the road but they have sunk to a new low. The Reds meanwhile have caught fire, and have won seven of their last nine games. The runline here is very lucrative, at almost 2-to-1 odds in our favor. That is 2-to-1 odds against a team that is 6-21 in their last 27 games on the road to a would-be +1.5 runline. It’s hard to pass up an opportunity like this, especially with the Reds playing !GOOD! and confident right now. Cincinnati gets the call on the runline here.
Game: Los Angeles Angels at Seattle (10:10 PM Eastern)Pick: 4 units on Seattle +127 (moneyline) (risk 4 to win 5.1)
The Seattle Mariners are certainly light years better than the team that lost over 100 games a year ago. They stand at seven games over .500 at home on the season. They have been superb in bounce-back situations this as they possess a .609 winning percentage after a loss. And we get them as a dog here playing at home. We also have exact trends that point opposite of one another here. The Angels have dropped six straight when their opponent gave up five runs or more in their last game, while the Mariners have won five straight after allowing five runs or more in their last game. The Mariners have been chewing up right-hand pitching at home as they are now 18-8 in their last 26 against a righthander at home. Ervin Santana is hard to trust for the Angels as he is pitching to nearly a 6 ERA on the season, and can implode in any given game. I'll go with the Mariners here.
