Today's MLB Baseball Picks:
Game: Boston at Colorado (8:25 PM Eastern)
Pick: 2 units on Colorado +127 (risk 2 to win 2.5)
Call us stubborn but we again like the Rockies tonight. In an absolute must win, this team should show up, finally. Yes, their chances of coming back to win are close to nil. But, for pride, they desperately want to show up here at home and get at least one win. They truly have nothing to lose at this point while Boston, hard as they might try, are ripe for a letdown after winning games 1-3 by a combined score of 25-7. Despite them wanting to end it, it will be nearly impossible for them not to take the foot off the gas a little. Jon Lester goes for the Sox and he's had a pretty rough go of it lately. He's got a 5.52 ERA, lasting just 4.9 innings per start in his last three appearances. Aaron Cook for Colorado has done just the opposite. He's posted a 3.32 ERA in his last three starts. Colorado, at home, should win this game. If they finally put their jitters and awe behind them, they will.
