Mlb Predictions - October 27, 2008

Our last time out we went 2-0 for +4.2 units and today we are back on the MLB diamond as the Phillies look to close-out the Rays. Can they do it? We have one pick below...

Today's MLB Baseball Picks:

Game: Tampa Bay at Philadelphia (8:20 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Philadelphia -176 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 1.7)

The Rays are now in an elimination game as the Phillies went up 3-1 behind a Ryan Howard explosion last night. It was a matter of time before the Phillies’ lineup began cashing in on missed opportunities with runners in scoring position. The fact is that even with that said they are leading three games to one, and I expect them to close out the series tonight. Cole Hamels will attempt to be the first pitcher to record five postseason wins in the same year, and he baffled the Rays the first time out. The Rays are at their worst against left-hand pitching and on the road. They now must face a pitcher that is very good and on top of his game right now. Scott Kazmir has had lots of problems of late locating, getting behind in the count and the Phil's bats are showing they won't be leaving those opportunities behind anymore. I will take them to close out the Rays in five games and claim their first World Title since 1980.
