Justin Velander got hammered in game one, giving up 7 runs in fiving innings. He's gone cold in the playoffs after a very solid regular season. But I look for him, along with the rest of his team, to bring a good performance in a must-win here. Detroit finally found some offense last game and could have easily won that game. They caught some bad breaks and St. Louis played well. Let's not forget that Jeff Weaver was 3-7 with a 7.33 ERA at home this year. This game is going to come down to which Jeff Weaver shows up. I just can't believe he has gone from THAT bad to THAT good. The guy is 1-10 this season vs. teams that outscore their opponents by 0.5+ runs per game. Detroit found some offense last game and if they return to their normal hitting level, they'll hit Weaver. And, with the desperation here of Detroit needing a win, I think they find a way.
