The Dodgers have their backs to the wall and will face the Phillies top pitcher at home in a do-or-die situation. Cole Hamels has had a big year, pitching to a 3.09 ERA, but he and the Phillies have not fared well against teams with a .500+ record on the season where they are just 6-12 in his 18 starts. When those numbers are taken to the road, the Phillies are just 1-7. The seven losses have shown the Phillies losing by a combined 36-21 margin. Chad Billingsley has been equally good on the season as a whole where he posted a 3.14 mark. The Dodgers are 7-1 in his eight home starts vs .500+ teams outscoring them 46-14. The Dodgers got here by virtue of their 48-33 home mark, a far cry from their 36-45 road performance. They have also beaten up on lefthanders to the tune of 31-20, vs their sub-.500 mark against righthanders. The Dodgers have won the last five of six vs the Phillies at home and we have a live dog here.
