Baseball Picks - October 05, 2008
Last night we dropped our pick on Philly. We look to rebound with one play from the AL Division Series tonight. Over the last week and a half our MLB picks are up +20.6 units for 64% (14-8).
Today's MLB Baseball Picks:
Game: Los Angeles Angels at Boston (7:15 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Game Total UNDER 9 -120 (risk 3 to win 2.5)
The Boston Red Sox come home up two games to none in the series and will try to put the Angels away tonight. They will start Josh Beckett who has been the best postseason pitcher in baseball over the past several years. Beckett will enter this game with a great postseason resume. He has a record of 6-2 backed by a microscopic ERA of 1.73. The Angels will send Joe Saunders to the hill. Saunders had a breakout season for the Angels in '08, finishing with a 17-7 mark and a nifty 3.41 ERA. Unlike most pitchers, Saunders did his best work on the road this year to compile a 10-3 record, backed by a 2.55 ERA. The Angels played nine of 15to the UNDER when Saunders has taken the ball on the road. The Red Sox have now played UNDER in 19 of their last 28 against teams with a winning record, so I'll back the UNDER in this one.
