Baseball Gambling Pick - June 26, 2008
Another great finish to our day on the bases yesterday! We grabbed another +9 units as we nailed both of our dog picks. We are now +110.7 units for 61% (121-79) over the last six weeks. One game, two picks today.
Today's MLB Baseball Picks:
Game: Tampa Bay at Florida (12:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Florida +107 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 3.2)
The Rays will look to sweep the Marlins on the road for the first time in the 11 year history of these two teams. Matt Garza has given the Rays’ rotation a lift, but almost exclusively at home. The Rays are just 1-5 in Garza's six road starts, and he has failed to make it through six innings in each of his last three on the road. Garza has been touched up to the tune of a 6.19 ERA on the road this season. While Mark Hendrickson has been hot and cold, his presence on the mound on home turf has been impressive as the Marlins have posted wins in six of his eight starts. Tampa Bay remains an improved team, but with that said, they have only swept a team once in the last three years on the road with none coming this year, and they haven't swept a team with a winning record on the road period over the last three. We will take the Marlins as a valued home dog here.

We cited many reasons why we like Florida to win this one outright in our moneyline write-up. Tampa is also 16-24 to the -1.5 runline on the road the past two years when facing a bullpen with a WHIP of 1.35-1.45, so we will also back the Marlins on the runline.
