A team that looked unbeatable early has hit the wall as the bubble has burst for Milwaukee. They have been just 9-16 in their past 25 games and just break-even at 6-6 at home. The Cubs have begun to hit finally after going 2-10 and being outscored 67-39. The 3-run a game offense has now scored 22 runs in three games while the pitching has allowed just 10. Victor Zambrano may be ready to breakout, after his outburst and exchange with Barrett. He has pitched two good games vs. Milwaukee already this season and both came at a time when Milwaukee was hitting. Zambrano has good career numbers against the current Brewer line-up and we like this matchup with the small dog.

Probably a high price to pay on the road, but you can't ignore the signs that this team is ready to make a move, and this may turn out to be cheap compared to what is to come. The Yankee bats have been good as they have run off five of seven. Their 5-game skid saw them bat just over .200 and produce less than 3 runs per game. They have now hit close to .350 over the last six producing 7 runs per game in the process. Wang gets the ball, and this White Sox line-up just hasn't hit all year. Wth the Yankee bats booming and their ace on the hill, the wins should keep coming. Vasquez has not been a mystery to the Yankees, especially Bobby Abreu, who has lit him up for 7 HR's. Yanks are making a move.

Texas is quickly establishing themselves as the worst team in the American League this season. They have lost 10 of 13 and have not won back-to-back games since May 20 & 21. It is a sign of weak pitching and tonight they will send Kevin Millwood to the mound. Millwood has already spent 2 stints on the DL and is truly in spring training form. But the Rangers, desparate for pitching, need to run him out there every 5th day, and work his way back. Millwood has been bad and in his last five starts has an 0-3 record with an 8.87 ERA, and is simply not pitching ready. Justin Verlander has allowed 19 earned runs total in 10 of his 11 starts, while Millwood has allowed 23 in his last five, with no start less than 4. Verlander has actually pitched better on the road. Texas will obviously need help from the pen tonight to even have a chance. Their pen has already pitched an amazing 217+ innings in just over 50 games. Look for the Tigers, a superb road team, to even this series tonight.
