Free Baseball Pick - July 07, 2008Our MLB picks posted another solid day yesterday as we finished 2-1 grabbing +4.6 units. The win was our third winning day in a row as we are up +15.9 units for 71% (10-4) over the last three days. Yesterday's win pushed up back up to +72.6 units (56%) for the last seven weeks. Today we offer three more plays. Today's MLB Baseball Picks:
Game: Seattle at Oakland (10:05 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Seattle +143 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 4.3) The Mariners were supposed to be a much better team than where they stand right now. They have however looked much better recently. They are now 9-4 in their last 13 games - their best stretch of the season to date. Perhaps more importantly is that they have now also won five of six on the road. Jarrod Washburn has also done an about-face. Over his last six starts he has pitched to a 1.60 ERA, and is one of the hottest pitchers in the league. Oakland has been just 3-6 over their last nine including two straight defeats at home. The A's have managed to win just four of Dana Eveland's last 10 starts despite him pitching well. This tells us that a hot pitcher like Washburn may be enough to squeeze out the win here. Game: Atlanta at Los Angeles Dodgers (10:10 PM Eastern) Pick: 3 units on Los Angeles Dodgers -137 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 2.2) At 8-23 in their last 31 on the road, the Braves don't offer much value at any price when they take to the highway. The Dodgers meanwhile have caught fire as winners of five of six. Jorge Campillo was nearly untouchable in his first three starts, but the league has caught up to him since. His ERA after those first three starts was 0.99, but since has been 4.35 - very ordinary and not enough to beat a hot team like the Dodgers. Results: 1-2 MLB Baseball Picks Resources:
