The Florida Marlins have not been able to make much use of their home-field advantage this season as they have a better record on the road, standing at just .500 at home. Alejandro Sanabia has had mixed results so far on the season, as he converts from reliever to starter. He has allowed more hits than innings pitched, so the Nats certainly won't be overmatched here. Jason Marquis is much better than his king size ERA, and over his last two starts he has proven it, allowing a total of 2 runs in 12.1 innings. The Marlins have also struggled vs. right-hand pitching of late at just 2-8 in their last 10. I'll go with Washington in this one.

Are the Padres starting to feel the pressure down the stretch? Here is a team that has played at a high level all season, but is still young, and have suddenly lost four straight - all at home, their longest streak of the year. The suspect offense his hit the ice-box with just 3 runs scored in their last three. Arozona is much better at home, and they began the Padres losing streak with a win in the series finale in San Diego. The Padres look for Wade LeBlanc to stop the bleeding, but with the Padres playing well he led them to just a 2-5 mark on the road, now they are struggling. This has been a graveyard for the Padres in the past as they are just 33-70 in Arizona in their last 103 trips here. I'll go with Arizona here.
