Game: Texas at Tampa Bay (7:15 PM Eastern)

Kevin Millwood has been very good on the road this year posting a 3.29 ERA. But Tampa Bay's Casey Fossum has been very good as well, especially at home. He's 4-2 with a 3.63 ERA here. Let's not undervalue the home field advantage here. Tampa is 7-5 here the last three seasons vs. the Rangers yet are getting nearly 1.5 to 1 odds tonight. Texas is a solid road team but their offense is lacking of late (4.1 per game over their last seven games). Tampa Bay is a winning home team that puts up 4.7 per game here. They are hitting very nicely in this series so far having scored 9 runs over the past two games. They really like being at home as they are now 8-1 after 6+ consecutive home games this season. Fossum is 11-4 as a home dog the past two seasons, 11-2 at home in second-half play over that span and 10-5 in night games this season. Not often you get a winning home team with a starting pitcher with a winning record and sub-4.00 ERA as a nice dog like this. D-Rays here.

Chicago has lost three straight and four of five and tonight they start Angel Guzman who comes in with an 0-3 record and 6.68 ERA. The Phillies go for their third in a row with Brett Myers on the mound. He's 5-1 on the road with a 4.61 ERA. He's 15-4 as a road favorite the past two seasons. Philadelphia is a winning road team that scores 5.3 per game. They are averaging 6.3 per game over their last seven. Backing up Myers is a very solid bullpen with a 3.49 road ERA. Chicago is 26-35 at home, scoring 4.3 per game (4.0 of late). Philadelphia here.
